HomeWorks

Most of the repairs reported by our customers are carried out by our team of staff called HomeWorks. HomeWorks is made up of plumbers, electricians, carpenters and many other skilled trades to make sure that we can respond to and fix your repair.

HomeWorks carries out around 65,000 responsive repairs each year as well as making sure that our empty properties are ready to let for new customers and being responsible for some programmed repairs.

Engineering Services Team

We have our own team who look after gas issues, specialist equipment in high rise blocks, the repair and maintenance of lifts, communal aerials and fire alarms, and provide advice to customers on these areas. This team includes qualified engineers and electricians who will look at the quality and safety of the work carried out by our contractors to make sure you get the best service possible.

Contact Centre Team

The Contact Centre Team make sure our customers are able to report repairs quickly and easily.  They help identify what repair needs to be carried out so the right job is ordered and can offer appointment slots to suit the customer.


Landscape Team

Our Landscape Team are responsible for all the grassed areas, open spaces and trees on land that we own.  We work closely with our contractors – Glendale for grass cutting and Beechwood for tree works – to maintain these areas and keep them looking tidy.  Our Customer Service Involvement Group - the Better Estates Group - help us monitor standards.   Our internal Landscape Rangers look after the gardens in our sheltered blocks, carry out weed spraying on hard surface areas, such as garage sites, and clean bulk bins and bin houses at least once a year.

Other contractors

Sometimes we need specialist companies to help us carry out repairs and maintenance to our properties. Examples include lift maintenance, fixing communal TV aerials and looking after dry risers in our blocks of flats.


 
 
 
 

If any of our staff or contractors need to visit you to carry out a repair, they will show identification and explain the reason for the visit. If you are in any doubt whether the caller is genuine, do not let them in and call your housing office to check
