Vehicles
Vehicles are the cause of many complaints between neighbours and to us.
In general the controls we have in place through the conditions of tenancy and in the handbook are designed to prevent vehicle owners causing nuisance to neighbours or damage to land. They stress the need to park properly and without causing any nuisance.
Tenants or other people who live with any tenant or visit must not:
- Park in any space or on land that is not a proper parking area for the use of tenants
- Store things like caravans, goods vehicles and boats within the confines of their home or nearby communal parts
- Drive across the footpath unless a dropped kerb is in place and permission given
- Leave untaxed or unroadworthy vehicles on our land
- Repairs can only be carried out if the vehicle belongs to a person living in the dwelling and is the only vehicle being worked on
Please refer to your tenancy agreement for full advice regarding this matter or contact your housing office.
