Coventry City Council

One of Whitefriars Housing Group Ltd's most important partners is Coventry City Council. Since transfer, we have been keen not only to retain links with them, but to foster new ones that will benefit the city as a whole. We work closely on a number of regeneration schemes such as the NDC and the Swanswell Project, but also on much more neighbourhood based schemes such as the environmental project in Radford.

At a strategic level we are members of the Local Strategic Partnership and we chair the Housing Association Liaison Committee. We have worked with the other Housing Associations and the City Council to produce a city wide Housing Demand and Aspiration Study which will form the basis of the City Council’s housing strategy.

The relationship with the council is one of true partnership at all levels. From the Chief Executives to the local offices on the patch. Both organisations have a core aim of improving life for Coventry citizens, and working together we are much more likely to achieve this.
