Renting a garage

Whitefriars owns 2,800 garages in Coventry which are spread over 158 sites.

You may be able to rent a garage near your home. Some areas are more popular than other and there are waiting lists for some garages.  

Garages are for personal use only and not for commercial activities.

Who can rent a garage  
Anyone over the age of 18 can rent a garage. You do not have to be a tenant with Whitefriars Housing. However, we do give priority to Whitefriars tenants and leaseholders.  

How to rent a garage  
If you would like to rent a garage you will need to complete an application form.
You can download an application form by clicking on the link below or pick one up from any of our housing offices.  

Please return the completed application form below to our housing offices.  

If we have no one on the waiting list for a garage where you want one, we will arrange for you to view the garage.

How much does it cost to rent a garage?  

The weekly rent for a garage is as follows :  

    £7.25 per week if you are a Whitefriars tenant or leaseholder  

    £8.34 per week if you are not a Whitefriars tenant or leaseholder.  

    During the year there are 4 rent free weeks ( these are set weeks)  

    You must pay one months rent in advance at the start of the tenancy and then pay 
    either weekly or monthly.
