Whitefriars has New Gas Contractors
The contract with SPI to service and repair gas appliances comes to an end on March 31st 2010. SPI will continue to install new gas appliances but you can expect to see engineers in new vans and uniforms from Thursday 1st April. Customers living in the North of the City will see vans with “J Tomlinson” logos on the side, whilst those on the South will see vans with “Kinetics” logos on the side. You may see some of the same engineers you saw before as some of them will carry on working on the new contract.
The new contract brings improvements as the engineers will carry new handheld devices to cut down on the amount of paperwork they have to do. Instead of signing a piece of paper you will be asked to sign using the new device. You will also be offered appointment slots for servicing and repairs, and you will receive a text message (if you want one) to confirm when your appointment is. When a service is being done you will have your own fitted gas appliances serviced for your safety, with the exception of gas cookers.
