Delivering repairs - HomeWorks
In
2004, Whitefriars Housing Group Ltd introduced some important
changes to our repairs service. We set up our own repairs
organisation, Whitefriars HomeWorks, to carry out the vast
majority of day to day repairs and works to bring void properties to
a lettable standard. In the future, HomeWorks will also
undertake some of Whitefriars’ planned maintenance activity.
Through HomeWorks, Whitefriars is better equipped to respond to customer expectations and deliver improved value for money, and hence continue to consistently improve its repairs and maintenance service. HomeWorks operates a fleet of modern, environmentally friendly commercial vehicles, each with a distinct livery. Working in a multi-cultural city presents Whitefriars with many communication challenges. HomeWorks' fleet livery is designed to overcome language barriers through clear pictorial illustration of the Whitefriars brand and the vehicle’s business.
To complement the introduction of
HomeWorks, Whitefriars' Technical
Officers are now undertaking more post inspections of completed work
to ensure the standard of workmanship is what we expect, and that
the repair has been carried out in accordance with our customer
service standards. These inspections are usually carried out within
two working days of the repair being completed. To ensure the
quality of our service, we ask customers to comment on their level
of satisfaction with our repairs service, and invite suggestions on
how that service can be further improved.

Repairs Reporting Centre
Our Repairs Centre provides Whitefriars’ customers with a convenient dedicated repair reporting and enquiry service. You can report your repairs to the Repairs Centre by telephoning 0845 850 6090, 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
For customers without access to a telephone or who prefer to call at one of our four new housing offices, a free phone service is available in each office reception.
You may need help with an Emergency repair outside the times listed above or at other times when our offices are closed (weekends and bank holidays) If this happens, you can still report Emergency repairs. To do this please call 0845 850 6090 where a trained operator will help you.
