How to get involved
There
are many ways in which tenants can get involved with Whitefriars
Housing Group Ltd. Some examples of areas of involvement include
residents groups, mystery shopper surveys, community events, focus
groups and trips to visit other housing organisations.

Voices of Whitefriars Residents’ Group – ‘Voices’
The Voices group was formally started in April 2004 and is open to eligible residents, either as individual resident members, or as residents from established residents’ groups across the city. The Voices group has direct links to the Board of Management of Whitefriars, and has the support of the Customer Involvement Team. We meet regularly throughout the year to promote the interests and views of residents across the city.
Voices aims to:
- Help with planning so that housing services delivered by Whitefriars are the best they can be, and both residents and Whitefriars get value for money for those services
- Act as a consultative forum for The Boards of Whitefriars’ management on matters relating to housing services and the development and management of our homes
- Help with identifying and planning housing service reviews and making sure that residents are involved in such reviews
- Promote the inclusion of, and represent the diversity of Whitefriars’ tenants and leaseholders
- Monitor the customer involvement strategy to make sure it does what it says it will.
You can get involved with the Voices group either:
- As one of the 3 representatives from your local tenant and resident group or association
- As an individual tenant or leaseholder.
Remember! The Voices of Whitefriars Residents’ group is run by you, for you to make sure we, as residents are listened to, and involved in the running of our homes.

Tenant board members
Whitefriars believes that its tenants should be empowered through
its involvement strategy. One of the ways in which it does this is
to enable its tenants to stand for election to the Board, and for
tenants to elect their preferred candidates.
Our six tenant board members are fully involved in the governance of
our organisation. They are elected by the body of our tenants
through a process conducted on our behalf by Electoral Reference
Ballot Services.
